Singing teacher Ghillian Sullivan
Professional Opera Singer and Opera Director, Ghillian Sullivan, brings a life-time on the professional International stage to your particular needs. She will train you to professional level especially in Opera, Classical and Music Theatre.
She can address vocal problems such as correcting poor technique, vocal tiredness, tone quality, language pronunciation, styles and interpretation of character. Prepare you for important auditions and roles in all genres.

**Owing to travel and studio fees, 24 hr notice must be given for lesson cancellation or full cost of the lesson must be paid.
Ghillian has trained many singers who have won major singing competitions and are now working in professional companies.
Her most recent success has been seeing soprano Sarah Jones off to Wiesbaden as the winner of the Opera Foundation German Scholarship. Co-incidentally, Ghillian was the principal soprano in Wiesbaden during 1984, 5, 6.
Amy Wilkinson trained for several years with Ghillian before being selected for the Young Artists program with Opera Australia , where she sang numerous roles before moving to USA. Amy has sung major roles in NZ and sings her first Mimi in Adelaide in July 2012.
Amelia Farrugia coaches opera roles with Ghillian and endorses Ghillian’s vocal teaching.
Ashley Giles, who sings with Sydney Chamber Opera, Opera Australia, Pinchgut Opera and OZOpera was one of Ghillian’s first pupils, as was Soprano Hester Hannah (nee Wilce), who sings with The Tall Poppeas in Sydney and was the winner of the MacDonald’s aria Competition.
Paul Tabone, tenor, has just completed the Melbourne and Sydney seasons of Love Never Dies in the role of 'Squelch', and is off to Europe.
Hayley Sugars won the Wiesbaden scholarship in 2010, and is still working in Germany.
Mia Yaniw studied with Ghillian after graduating from Queensland Conservatorium, and Ghillian is now her official mentor in the Arts Council 'Jump' Mentorship Program. Mia will sing Baba the Turk in the Brisbane International Festival 2012.
Bella Jedrzejczak and Gabrielle Kavanagh both gained scholarships to WAAPA in the Post-Graduate Opera Diploma course.
Laura Coall (Brisbane soprano) is going to NZ in 2012 to take up a contract with Wellington opera.
John Peek (Brisbane Tenor) now teaches voice at Griffith University in the new Music Theatre course, and directs outstanding productions for The Elysians, in addition to singing Oratorio and concerts in the Brisbane region.
Leslie Martin, Opera Australia Chorus member and now popular Brisbane soprano, works with Ghillian on vocal technique, and tutors Stagecraft and Character in Ghillian’s Summer Schools.
Many of Ghillian’s pupils are now singing roles on the professional stage world-wide, others are performing roles in smaller companies around Sydney, gaining performance experience while continuing their studies.
